About Cyber Defense Tactics
We teach defenders to build their own tooling instead of operating somebody else's, because the people who understand a defense best are the ones who built it and then broke it.
Our Mission
Security training has settled into a pattern. Courses hand you a tool, walk you through its menus, and hand you a multiple choice exam at the end. You come out able to operate something. You do not come out able to build one, or to judge whether the one you were given is any good.
We think that is backwards. Give someone the reps of building the infrastructure themselves and they can build anything after it. So the course makes you stand up the lab, build the detection layer, build the attacker, and then spend the rest of your time using each one to break the others.
The reference material stays free and always will. What you pay for is the build, and a credential that grades what you actually shipped.
